Love Stories – Erin & Ed
Erin and Ed met under disco lights at The Continental-Sorrento and from the very first moment, Erin knew. Their proposal involved a dreamy Parisian escape, champagne in hand, with a view so outrageously luxe it could only be topped by the ring itself.

When and how did you meet one another?
The Continental-Sorrento.
When did you know you had found your special person?
Immediately-lol but seriously.
How did the proposal go down?
Amazingly. Very chilled in the moment, but very extreme and luscious in the bigger picture, which is very on brand for us. We were in PARIS!! With an eff-off view of the Eiffel tower, still can't believe it. Ed always gives me the best. I'm so lucky!
What were the most important factors when choosing your jeweller?
Individuality, comforting space, I imagined this type of thing could be quite intimidating for someone who doesn't have any other fine jewellery but Black Finch seemed cool and lovely. A flair for different designs and colours. Like nothing you normally see!
Were there specific design elements you wanted to include?
Some pink!
How do you feel your pieces reflect you individually and as a couple?
Our beautiful ring is one of a kind and looks like a sunset with its special colours. Sunsets are beautiful, different from day to day and a moment of relaxation to behold. Which I think can also sum us up.
Ed also chose this ring and didn't tell me-so it's a good representation of him always nailing the brief but also allowing me to take part in decisions too.
Is there any advice you would give to other couples choosing their engagement rings?
Go to Black Finch! Lol. But also, be strong in what you want and try not to be overwhelmed by the beauty! But also he open-minded. The ring that spoke to us was one Ed actually chose for me and didn't tell me, it's not one I thought I would have gone for, but the only one that spoke to me on the day and ever since.
Is there anything else you'd like to share about your experience with Black Finch or your love story?
Only that we were both new to this type of thing and Asha and the team made us very comfortable and was a helpful and calming presence who gave us good pointers but ultimately let us go rogue with our own ideas.
