We work exclusively with 100% recycled refined gold and ethically sourced natural gemstones, including sapphires and conflict-free diamonds. Guided by a commitment to circularity and considered craftsmanship, each piece honours the integrity of its materials while reducing reliance on newly mined resources.
Natural Diamonds
All diamonds used in Black Finch jewellery are responsibly sourced and conflict-free, governed by The Kimberly Process. We prioritise natural diamonds and offer recycled diamonds for custom designs, extending the life of existing stones.
Australian & Artisinal Sapphires
We are sapphire specialists, sourcing from small-scale, family-run mines in Australia, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, and Montana. These mines operate with minimal environmental disruption, and where possible we personally visit sites to ensure ethical practices.
Our design ethos is led by what is rare, not what is perfect. We are drawn to stones with character—unusual cuts, tonal variation, and colour that holds its own—allowing each to guide the design rather than forcing uniformity. Asymmetry, unexpected proportions, and details that sit slightly off-centre are deliberate, inviting a second look and rewarding time spent with the piece.

We work exclusively with 100% recycled refined gold, sourced from post-consumer materials and refined in Melbourne. This circular approach allows precious material to remain in use while maintaining the strength, durability, and beauty required for fine jewellery made to last.
Through our Gold Swap Program, clients may trade pre-loved gold for store credit.
Heirloom Gemstones
We embrace a circular economy with out heirloom redesign service, allowing clients to transform their own sentimental gemstones and metals into modern, wearable pieces. Every redesign reduces waste and gives new life to existing materials.
