HOW DOES IT WORK?
1. Sumbit your request
Begin by filling out the form below. You’ll share your contact details and a photo of the gold you’d like to recycle.
2. Send us your gold
Once we receive your submission, we’ll email you a pre-paid shipping label. Securely package your gold and send it in to be valued.
3. We assess your items
Upon receiving your pieces, our team will assess the weight and purity of your gold to determine your eligible store credit based on current market rates.
4. review your quote
We’ll email you a no-obligation credit offer within 7 days. If you accept, we’ll issue your store credit (valid for 3 years). If you decline, we’ll return your items to you.

GOLD SWAP FAQ'S
We accept solid gold (9kt or higher) in yellow, rose, or white, as well as platinum. We can’t accept plated, filled, or vermeil pieces. Not sure? Email us a photo and we’ll take a look.
Most pieces have a hallmark. Check the inside of rings or backs of clasps on necklaces and earrings. Look for tiny stamps that read 375 (9kt gold), 750 (18kt gold), 925 (silver) or PT (platinum). If you’re still unsure, send your jewellery in and we’ll perform a purity assessment.
If your piece has non-precious gemstones in it, and you do not wish to keep them, then yes it will be recycled in its entirety. Please note, the stones will not be salvageable.
If, however, you are interested in re-purposing precious stones and using gold for credit, we recommend exploring our Heirloom Redesign service.
Complete our online form to begin, then either drop your jewellery to our Collingwood studio or mail it to us using a pre-paid shipping label provided by us. Once received, we will document, test, weigh and quote your gold within 7 business days.
Your Black Finch credit will be valid for 3 years and can be used toward any piece online, in-store, or toward a custom design.
