Love Stories — Tom and Isabella
Tom and Isabella's Love Story ❤️
Delve into the beautiful love story of Isabella and Tom, whose romance began on their very first day of university at 18. Over the course of a decade, their love blossomed through shared adventures, and their engagement took place during a scenic hike, marked by heartfelt vows, laughter, and a hillside picnic with fish and chips, creating cherished memories of their enduring love...
How did your love story start?
We met when we were 18! It was our first day of university, at our college dormitory orientation day – standing in line to get our attendance marked off. We just hit our 10 year anniversary this week.
When did you know you had found your special person?
Isabella:
Not a specific moment, but a constantly affirmed realisation that he is the only person on this planet I want to spend my time with.
Tom:
I remember being totally captivated by Izzie when we first met, but I think it was during university holidays when I found myself constantly doing the drive between my family home and hers to visit, that I knew she was very special to me.
How did the proposal go down?
We love hiking and one weekend we were headed out to the headland walk between Jan Juc and Bells Beach. Izzie was completely oblivious. A bluebird summer day with the track to ourselves, once we got to the final lookout I popped the question. Giggles all round ensued with a 180 degree view of the surf and sun. We practically skipped home, bought a bottle of Champagne and had fish and chips on the hill to celebrate. Couldn't have planned a better day.

Memorable or favourite date?
Isabella:
The first time Tom met my parents (a decade ago now!), he was so nervous he managed to pour Champagne all over my Dad, and then riding back from a tipsy dinner together we had a bike crash and popped my Dad's bike tyre. Safe to say a lot of apologies were made the next morning. First impressions last (haha)!
Tom:
We lucked out on a date weekend trip to the Prom and had Refuge Bay all to ourselves.

Can you share some words on your Black Finch experience?
Black Finch were exceptional. The jewellery is of incredible quality but moreover, the customer experience was exceptional. We met with Naasicaa first to begin our design process. We ended up getting both our engagement ring and wedding band made together. We opted for an wider band that needed a bit of finessing to get the fit right and the team at Black Finch went over and above to make sure the fit was perfect. Cannot praise the customer service highly enough.
