Some gestures exist beyond language. The necklace hand at the centre of this piece is one of them... an open palm extended not in greeting, but in offering, a symbol that has moved through cultures and centuries as a conduit between the visible world and whatever lies beyond it.
The Hand of Passage is cast in solid gold with a matte finish that softens the light, complete with a single natural baroque pearl at the fingertips. The carved texture speaks to the labour of making, each line a deliberate mark, a small act of intention preserved in metal. Recycled gold carries its own layered history, and wearing it feels like inheriting something already weighted with meaning.
The necklace with hand sits at 42 to 45 centimetres, long enough to rest close to the heart, short enough to remain present against the collarbone. A parrot clasp closes the chain with the same considered precision found throughout the piece, nothing incidental.
